What artist book and/or publication do you feel is the best at teaching the fundamentals of drawing?

I ask this question as i have been approached many times on schools and books, while doing street portraits. I am an accomplished artist on basics, though my range of art genre is limited. Many teachers approach me on this subject matter. I know this is somewhat naive, but i feel drawing is more of a discipline, than an art. Thank You!
