At the end she wrote “The Great Patriotic War” which is what the Ukranians called World War II. 1out of 4 Ukranians died in that war. That’s 11 million young men out of a population of only 44 million.

My 8 year old students were moved by the message behind the artist’s sand animations. It wasn’t just the music or the art that touched them, but the message that wars impact all of us. We were enchanted by this young woman’s talent.

This is just amazing! It is too beautiful for words. It really portrays your story well. I love it! Awesome job. I mean you painted pictures and made a story with a light table, sand, and just your fingers/hands. It’s so good and leaves me speechless.

Beautiful. Only word to describe it. So sad… I think we can all sympathize with it on some level, even if our countries have never been invaded in our lifetimes, or even involved in a major border war.
